Introduction

Jobs, Taxes, and Benefits are linked together as one Life Issue for women because they set the minimum standard for quality of living for all of us. We are particularly affected by laws about work, taxes, and benefits, because while more than 70% of us are working outside the home, all of us still hold the major responsibility for the health and safety of all three generations in the family.

In every society it is the role of government to set the basic rules for fair treatment of employees, in both private and public organizations. It is also government that decides how to use our combined tax dollars to provide protection for the health and safety of all individuals.

Women need to put our concerns about money and security up against the current laws and then decide what we think about what the different political parties and candidates are trying to change.
