Fair Courts

Introduction

Fair Courts is a Life Issue for women, because of the distance we still have to go to be treated as equals. When our lives as women go reasonably well, we don't often think of the importance of courts in our personal lives. But when life seems unfair and we feel the most vulnerable, we count on the American right to fair courts to protect us.

When women turn to the courts it is usually because we are in an unequal relationship in our personal lives and our own and our children's well-being is threatened. It is difficult to prepare in advance for the need to take court action. But knowledge of the facts and of the law is important, and we need to think of ourselves and other women as potentially in the same situation.

This is the place to inform ourselves, talk to each other online, and take action - all from WomenMatter.
